Deputy Knesset Speaker Danny Danon will propose to the Knesset presidium, Monday, that a commission of inquiry be charged with investigating the behavior of hostile Arab Knesset members. Interviewed, Sunday, on Arutz Sheva's Hebrew journal, Danon said, "The current situation is intolerable," referring to MK Jamal Zahalka's visit to the family of a terrorists who killed a soldier, during which Zahalka called for the terrorists's release.
Danon said it's not a racist attack on Arab MK's but on the radicalization of the Arab leadership in Israel which dictates a change through legislation. He added, "It's time to tell the Arab MKs, 'You have been chosen to represent the public and not Hizbullah, not Hamas, not Israel's enemies. They probably do not realize this and it has to be explained to them." Danon cited MK Hanna Swaid (Hadash) as one he didn't always agree with but who works for his constituents on the issues of the day, specificly infrastructure and education.
