The water level of Lake Kinneret (the Sea of Galilee) rose five centimeters/about two inches in the last 24 hours, according to figures, released Monday morning, by the Water Authority. The water level stood at 212.12 meters/slightly less than 696 feet below sea level, 88 meters/about 289 feet above the red line for not drawing water and 3.32 meters/almost 11 feet below the upper red line.
Runoff from the weekend storms will continue to raise the level of the lake. Also to be taken into consideration is the melting of the snow on Mt. Hermon, as temperatures rise to above average by Thursday.
