The Council for Cable and Satellite Broadcasting published a tender, Sunday for a television channel dedicated to the heritage of Israel.
The winning bidder will broadcast no less that 12 consecutive hours a day of content related to Jewish culture, Jewish history and Zionism during the first two years of the ten-year franchise. At least four of those must be first runs. Starting with the third year, the total will go up to 18 hours a day, six of which must be first run. The franchisee will have the option of broadcasting on Shabbat and Jewish holidays.
