After their successes in Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood is setting up a party in Libya. The group held a meeting Friday to establish the party, with over 1,400 people attending, a spokesperson said.

The leader of the party is Mohamed Sowan, who was in prison under Muammar Qaddafi's reign for eight years. A party spokesperson said that the group's goal was to bring security and stability to the country, which has been drifting politically since the death of Qadaffi.
