More than 13,000 delegates are expected to attend the Policy Conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in Washington, D.C., starting Sunday, when President Shimon Peres addresses the body, the largest pro-Israel lobby in the world, and considered one of the strongest in the United States. By the time Prime Minister Binyamin finishes his speech, those in attendance will also have heard from U.S. President Barack Obama and other candidates for national offices, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, high ranking political figures and other people of influence.

Member of Knesset and World Likud leader Danny Danon told Arutz Sheva that the convention is an important opportunity to relay the message that Israel is important to the world. He said he hoped that President Obama would leave with the message that he must not only deal with the Iranian nuclear threat but take a leading role. Another important message is that the Palestinian Authority is not advancing peace and that pressure should be on Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and not on Netanyahu.
