The Knesset’s Labor, Welfare and Health Committee has given its approval to a bill that would provide extra assistance to children of parents killed during IDF service if their second parent dies as well. The bill will now face a first Knesset vote.
Under the bill, a child who lost one parent during their IDF service whose second parent later died as well would get a one-time payment of 100,000 shekels.
The bill was put forth by MKs Moshe Matalon (Yisrael Beiteinu), Aryeh Eldad (Ichud Leumi), and Chaim Katz (Likud).
