The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange opened slightly higher, Tuesday, in mixed trading. The TA Composite index stood at 978.50, up .57 percent, while the TA 100 rose .58 percent to 989.70, including a six-tenths of a percent rise to 1,081.50 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
With most of the technology stocks up .79 percent at 298.64, the biomed index opened at 713.54, up .03 percent. No change was reported for the financial institutions (848.85) or bank issues (928.13). The insurance stocks slipped .15 percent to 954.28, while the real estate index stood at 273.76, down .22 percent. The oil and natural gas issues declined .29 percent to 1,154.11 and the communications/media stocks stood at 647.04, down three-quarters of a percent.
