Kinneret Up Two Centimeters

The Water Authority reported, Tuesday, that the water level of Lake Kinneret/the Sea of Galilee rose two centimeters/eight tenths of an inch in the last 24 hours. The rise was attributed to melting snow and runoff from previous precipitation.

The water level now stands at 212.44 meters (slightly less than 697 feet) below sea level. Israel's largest freshwater source is expected to continue rising, with a new storm expected to bring rain and runoff to the lake, starting Tuesday afternoon.
