The Polish Foreign Ministry announced, Monday that Polish diplomats are working to rescue Western journalists who were wounded in the Syrian government siege of Homs, near the northeastern corner of Lebanon.

A ministry statement added that the diplomats are working to extricate the bodies of an American journalist and a French photographer killed in the city last week.
