Chairwoman Ilana Cohen of the Nurses Federation announced, Monday morning, that the nurses would strike for 24 hours in protest of overcrowding and a lack of staffing in hospitals, following a breakdown in negotiations with the ministries of Health and Finance. The Treasury issued a statement that negotiations would continue Monday.
