The Ministerial Committee onLegislation endorsed, Sunday,a billby Member of KnessetDov Henin(Hadash) to regulateconditions for keeping,transportingand traininganimals (including inpet stores),as well as conditionson exhibitions, competitionsandperformances, including themannerofputtinganimals to death. The Knesset is expected toapprove the measure onTuesday.
MK Khenin said, "The field was completely broken up until today. The measure fills in the gaps of essential Israeli animal-welfare laws."
