The Ministry of Industry, Commerceand Labor responded, Sundayto theclosure of the Pri Galil produce processing plant by saying,"We regretthat the factory's management has chosento exploit theplant'sworkers andtheir distressin order to receivepublic funds."
A statement by the ministry continued, "The company has the right toclose a production lineand transfer itto another factory,butthe claim that thestate failed tohonor its obligationsis a pure and simple deception,designed tosqueezea grant of18million shekelsfora profitable enterprisethat does not meetthe criteriaset out inthe Investment EncouragementLaw."
