A resident of the Samarian Jewish outpost community of Chavat Gil'ad (Gilad's Farm) was attacked, Thursday afternoon, by Arabs from the village of Farata as he stood outside his home. A shot was heard during the attack. Authorities are trying to determine if it was a shot or a firecracker.

Other Chavat Gil'ad residents and Israeli soldiers pursued the attackers. One was caught and arrested.
