Shekel, Dollar, Yen Down; Euro Up

The official value of the shekel declined an average of .315 percent, Thursday, against the other currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.775, up .08 percent from Wednesday's rate, while the Euro rose .594 percent to 4.9958 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.9027, up .367 percent, while 100 Japanese yen rose .205 percent to 4.6864 shekels. The Norwegian krone was fixed at .6681 shekels, up .83 percent, while the South African rand rose .68 percent to NIS .4889.
