At least 49 people have been killed and more than 600 were injured in the worst train crash in Argentina in 40 years. The crowded train hit the station block at 12 mph, and crumpled in on itself into a heap of twisted metal. Dozens were trapped for hours, but were all, fortuitously, taken to safety. (BBC)
