Shas MK Nissim Ze’ev said on Wednesday that the Tal Law has not failed in his opinion, and that if it has failed it is not because of the hareidim.
“No one, except for a constitutional court, can say the Tal Law is unconstitutional,” Ze’ev told Arutz Sheva. “The Tal Law Act was to be gradually implemented, but in practice over the last five years no concrete action to implement the law was taken.”
Ze’ev added, “I am convinced that the IDF does not want to put mass numbers of yeshiva students in prisons yeshiva and cause many yeshiva students to leave the country. I suggest that those who do not understand what the world of Torah and its great sensitivity not deal with the issue.”
