Two new Supreme Court judges were sworn in today (Tuesday) at a ceremony in Jerusalem with President Shimon Peres. The honorable Judge Noam Sohlberg is a resident of Har Etzion in the Judea region. The honorable Judge Zvi Zylbertal was sworn in as well. Outgoing Supreme Court chief justice Dorit Beinish stated, "Noam and his family are residents of Gush Etzion. This is my opportunity to say that I am sorry for the distress this caused." Judge Beinish was referring to a petition against Judge Sohlberg because of his place of residence.
