Rabbi Nissim Peretz, head of the Beit El yeshiva in Bnei Brak, passed away, Tuesday morning at Tel Hashomer Hospital, at the age of 64, following a serious illness. His funeral was scheduled to start at noon at the Beit El synagogue on Bnei Brak's Menachem Street.
Recalling the uniqueness of the Moroccan-born Kabbalist, Rabbi Eliyahu Ovadia told Arutz Sheva, ""The rabbi had a very special level of humility and simplicity. The rabbi would receive everyone graciously regardless of the community from which he came, without any differences. Every person who came to the rabbi would receive welcoming smile; a smile and great love. The rabbi had a big heart, at a unique level that is difficult to explain. "
