The Israel Defense Forces' Spokesman reported, Tuesday,that a powerful explosive device was found during a Monday-evening operationto thwartsmugglingon the Israeli-Egyptian border. A smuggler detected by an IDF unit was seenthrowing away asuspicious bagas he fled. A search in the morningrevealed that the bagcontained the explosives. The device was detonatedin a controlled manner.
