Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu asked Gil Sheffer, Sunday evening, to replace Natan Eshel as Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister's Office at the beginning of next month. Eshel will be leaving his post, as part of an agreement with the Civil Service Commission, over allegations that he sexually harassed a woman on the staff.
Sheffer has been in charge of Netanyahu's scheduling for a little more than a year. The prime minister felt his nomination would ensure continuity of work in the office. Netanyahu thanked Eshel for the quality and dedication in his work at the Prime Minister's Office over the years.
