Jerusalemites who were disappointed by the lack of snow over the weekend can feel happy about the rain that has fallen instead. The weekend storm brought enough runoff to fill the area behind the Beit Zayit dam of the Nachal Sorek stream at the entrance to the capital.
Reacting to the water level in the reservoir, Inspector Ephraim Shabtai of the capital's Gichon water company told Arutz Sheva, ""We are expecting more rain. Keep praying for more rains. We are still in need of water and to supplement what's missing, we need another month and a half of rainfall like what we have had the last few days and we will be pleased."
