Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange recorded modest to moderate gains, Sunday, in mixed trading. The TA Composite index rose .34 percent to 1,002.65, while the TA 100 closed at 1,014.01, up .37 percent, including a .57 gain to 1,111.47 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
Leading the gainers were the oil and gas stocks, which rose one-and-a-half percent to 1,258.65, followed by the real estate index, which closed at 284.55, up 1.05 percent. Right behind were the bank issues, advancing 1.04 percent to 1,005.79 as the financial institutions finished the day at 920.92, up .79 percent, including a .04 percent rise to 1,037.85 by the insurance issues, and the communications index closed at 675.13, up .08 percent. Most of the technology stocks dropped an average of .65 percent to 296.72,. while the biomed issues closed at 748.16, down 1.52 percent.
