A senior source at the Task Force for Fighting Terror said, Friday, that investigations indicate that Iran and Lebanese terror group Hizbullah are behind this week's attacks against Israelis abroad and that they are continuing their efforts, adding that institutions of the Chabad movement could be a target. Briefing political reporters, the source said that Israelis abroad should be alert and take steps to reduce the chance of being attacked, especially in Asia, and to pay attention to the instructions of local security forces.
The source made it clear that there were no specific focal points, although he said the Sinai Peninsula is a place to leave or avoid, adding that he was not issuing a travel advisory. Noting Iran's determination to carry out an attack on Israel, he said that many actions are being taken to prevent attacks. Referring to a Thursday evening speech by Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah he said that Israeli leaders are a high priority for terrorists.
