Yad Sarah Prepared for Snow

Ahead of the snow that is forecast for Jerusalem on Shabat, the Yad-Sarah medical assistance organization is equipping its vehicles for transporting patients and other people needing urgent transportation. Before the start of the Sabbath, chains for snow travel will be put on the tires of Yad Sarah's 12 vehicles, including those for the wheelchair bound and with oxygen for those who have difficulty breathing. The vehicles will be available immediately upon the end of Shabbat.

Patients with anticipated needs (such as kidney dialysis and oncology patients) can reserve a trip at the national phone line *6444, which is good for other emergency needs. Yad Sarah will also try to bring equipment to people who cannot make it to one of the organization's branches.
