Remand for Nabi Elias Vandalism Suspect Extended 4 Days

The Jerusalem Magistrates Court extended by four days, Thursday, the remand of a resident of the Samarian Jewish community of Yitzhar  who was arrested, Wednesday evening, on suspicion that his car was suspected of being used in the burning of a car and the writing of grafitti in the western Samarian Arab village of Nabi Elias. The police had sought remand until Monday.

The Honenu legal-aid organization said the judge in the remand hearing called the evidence quite weak. Honenu also cited the police for needlessly waking members of the community.
