Nahum Malik, a meteorologist with the Meteotech company, told Arutz Sheva on Wednesday that the snowstorm which will hit Israel this weekend will be the heaviest one the country has seen in years.
“We’re see a good chance of snow in Jerusalem and in all of Israel’s central area mountains starting on Friday night, and this includes mountainous areas in Samaria, Judea , Gush Etzion and Hevron,” Malik said.
“All the mountains that are higher than 700 meters will receive snow,” he added. “The snow will fall throughout Shabbat and until Sunday, when it will begin to weaken.”
