The management of Bank Leumi opened Tuesday's trading at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange to mark the exchange's 50th birthday and the 110th anniversary of the bank's founding. In his greetings, Chairman David Brodet of Leumi's board of directors mentioned that during its opening years, during the 1950's the exchange's trading took place in the offices of the bank, which helped to found the market.
He concluded, "Today Iwant to congratulatethe little sister,only50,butwitha bright futureahead of her. May she knowmany years ofprosperity and successandyieldgood profit and returns toits investors, to the entities traded there and to the stateof Israel."
