The management of Bank Leumi opened Tuesday's trading at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange to mark the exchange's 50th birthday and the 110th anniversary of the bank's founding. In his greetings, Chairman David Brodet of Leumi's board of directors mentioned that during its opening years, during the 1950's the exchange's trading took place in the offices of the bank, which helped to found the market.

He concluded, "Today I want to congratulate the little sister, only 50, but with a bright future ahead of her. May she know many years of prosperity and success and yield good profit and returns to its investors, to the entities traded there and to the state of Israel."
