The funeral for Naomi (Zisel) Shapiro, nee Werzberger, sister of Arutz Sheva Managing Editor Rochel Sylvetsky-Tabak, will take place at Shamgar Funeral Home in Jerusalem at 3 p.m. on Monday, with burial to follow in the Mount of Olives cemetery, next to Naomi's late husband, wounded veteran of Israel's War of Independence, Moshe Shapiro. Naomi passed away in Tel Hashomer Hospital, Sunday evening, at the age of 81. An active member of the Shomer Hadati Zionist youth group, Zisel came on aliyah in 1950.
All the mourners will sit Shiva until Thursday morning at the home of Naomi's daughter, Sarah Eliash, 34 Shoham St., Kedumim, after which time they will sit at their respective homes. In addition to Sarah and Achiya Eliash, Zisel is survived by Yisrael and Rachel Shapiro of Netanya; Penina and Yakov Ben Yakov of Shilo; Buvie and Lazar Cohen of New York; Avigdor and Bracha Shapiro of Beer Sheva; Rivka and Avi Chevroni of the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem; Dov and Yael Shapiro of Tsufim; Rochel and Yossie Erlich of Talmon; grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters Rochel Sylvetsky-Tabak of 50/5 Morgenthau Street, Ramot Aleph, Jerusalem and Rebbetzin Frimet Taub of New York and brother Yonie Werzberger of Atlanta.
