Naomi (Zisel) Shapiro, nee Werzberger, sister of Arutz Sheva Managing Editor Rochel Sylvetsky-Tabak, has passed away in Tel Hashomer Hospital at age 81. The funeral will take place at Shamgar Funeral Home in Jerusalem at 3 p.m. on Monday 20 Shvat, 13 February. Burial at the Mount of Olives next to her late husband, wounded veteran of Israel's War of Independence, Moshe Shapiro. An active member of the Shomer Hadati Zionist youth group, Zisel came on aliyah in 1950.
Shiva until Thursday morning at her daughter, Sarah Eliash, 34 Shoham St., Kedumim, after which time the mourners will sit at their respective homes.
She is survived by her children, Sarah and Achiya Eliash, Kedumim; Yisrael and Rachel Shapiro, Netanya; Penina and Yakov Ben Yakov, Shilo; Buvie and Lazar Cohen, New York; Avigdor and Bracha Shapiro, Beer Sheva; Rivka and Avi Chevroni, Ramot, Jerusalem; Dov and Yael Shapiro, Tsufim; Rochel and Yossie Erlich, Talmon; grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters Rochel Sylvetsky-Tabak of 50/5 Morgenthau Street, Ramot Aleph, Jerusalem, Rebbetzin Frimet Taub of New York and brother Yonie Werzberger of Atlanta, Georgia.
