Yeshiva Student Released from Police Custody

The Petah Tikvah District Court released on Friday a yeshiva student from Yitzhar who was arrested on Thursday night after Arabs tried to infiltrate Givat Ronen.

The young student was arrested during a demonstration near the entrance to Yitzhar, shortly after the attempted infiltration. The police arrested him, claiming that there is an arrest warrant against him for failing to show up for discussions taking place against him in court on another matter.

Attorney Adi Keidar of the Honenu legal aid organization, who is representing the young man, told the court his client had never received the summons to court. The court accepted the claim and released the student on bail.
