Two people were killed and more than 20 injured in traffic accidents on Friday.
The carnage began before dawn, when a 19-year-old soldier stepped out of a gas station at the Zore'a Junction of Highway 66 and was killed in an apparent hit-and-run accident. Her body was hit a number of times before being taken out of traffic. Two girls were injured when they flipped their car trying to avoid her.
In the middle of the morning, a 50-year-old motorist was killed when his vehicle ran head-on into a bus on Route 721, next to the Damon Prison in the Carmel area. Two passengers on the bus were injured. A short time later, 20 people were injured, one seriously, in a collision between a bus and a tractor-trailer next to Beit Jubrin.
