The head of the Yad BeYad school in Jerusalem pledged to continue teaching about "Nakba", an Arabic word for catastrophe. The term is what some Arabs use to refer to as the reestablishment of the State of Israel in 1948.
In an interview with Arutz Sheva's Hebrew language news service, the head of the school said that the Ministry of Education was aware that they taught the students about Nakba and pledged to teach about "Palestinian heritage."
