PM Benjamin Netanyahu said this evening (Tues.) that “a strike will not solve the problem of contract workers. It is possible to improve the working conditions of the contract workers without a general strike and without disrupting the lives of the people. There is no magic solution to the problems that were created here over decades; but it is possible to solve this issue with dialogue.”

“The Israeli economy is in a delicate state and this is not the time to endanger the stability that we have achieved laboriously, and via cooperation between the government and the Labor Federation (Histadrut), compared with the collapse of leading economies in the world,” added Netanyahu.
