The Knesset Education Committee approved for second and third reading, Tuesday, a bill that prohibits charging fees for participating in events to mark Memorial Day.

The measure, if passed, would apply to events organized by a government agency or by a body funded or supported by a state body or local authority which participates in its budget directly or indirectly.
