MK Kara Gives PM Letter from Syrian Opposition

Member of Knesset Ayoub Kara (Likud) said, Monday, that he passed a letter from Syrian opposition leaders to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, in which they said they will not start a struggle against Israel immediately after they finish the struggle with President Bashar Al-Assad. Interviewed on Arutz Sheva's Hebrew journal, the deputy minister for development of the Galilee and the Negev explained that the purpose of their letter is asking Israel to pressure the United Nations Security Council to oust Assad, who continues to slaughter them."

Kara said that it is too early to eulogize Al-Assad and the struggle is far from over, but he is convinced that Syria will not return to what it was, adding that even if the new regime does not like Israel, it will not be part of the axis of evil with Iran. He also said that Syria was behind the recent failed assassination attempt against Lebanese parliament member Sami Gemayel.
