Committee OKs 50% Senior Discount for Israeli Films

The Knesset Labor, Welfare and Health Committee approved, Monday, an addition to senior discount regulations, making those of retirement age (67 for men, 62 for women) eligible for a 50-percent discount at Israeli films, to go along with discounts already available at museums and artistic and cultural events. The two-million-shekel cost of the bill will be split between the state and the Israel Cinema Association.

Responding to a request by a representative of cerebral palsy patients, an association attorney said subtitles would be added to Israeli films.
