Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is scheduled to travel to Damascus Tuesday, to meet with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.

The official agenda has not been publicized, but the Russian Foreign Office hinted that Lavrov will press for compromise and democratic reforms at some point in the future.
