Speaking at Sunday morning's cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said that he had not sensed that the Likud had moved rightwards in recent years, and that Moshe Feiglin's Manhigut Yehudit faction was not representative of the party. “The belief that Feiglin can influence Likud policy has no basis in reality,” Netanyahu said.

He added that “those who believe that the Likud will become 'messianic' and accept all sorts of policy decisions based on that idea are wrong. These positions do not  match the social democratic ideas that are the basis of the Likud's policies,” Netanyahu added.
