Shekel Stronger, Euro Slips Less than Dollar

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .182 percent, Friday against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The exception was the South African rand, which rose .517 percent to NIS .4858.

The United States dollar was fixed at 3.717 shekels, down .268 against Thursday's rate, while the Euro declined .161 percent to NIS 4.8873.  The pound sterling was set at 5.8827 shekels, down .271 percent, while 100 Japanese yen fell .341 percent to NIS 4.8786.
