The were slightly more losers than gainers, Thursday, as the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange closed out the trading week in mixed trading. The TA composite index closed at 1,007.23, down .05 percent, while the TA 100 slipped .04 percent to 1,017.35, including a 1,121.27 close, down .17 percent, by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
The insurance index rose 1.71 percent to 1,071.30 while the bank stocks declined .93 percent to 999.67, bringing the financial institutions to 926.31, down .06 percent. Communications issues closed at 714.68, up .39 percent and the real estate index rose a quarter of a percent. While most of the technology stocks slipped an average of .02 percent to 286.36, the biomed issues closed at 745.27, down .73 percent.
