      Shekel Up, Dollar Slips Further than Euro

      The shekel rose an average of .145 percent, Thursday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.727, down .268 percent from Wednesday's rate, while the Euro slipped .238 percent to 4.8952 shekels.

      The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.8987, up .168 percent, while 100 Japanese yen declined .32 percent to 4.8953 shekels.
