U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday called on the member countries of the UN Security Council “to ask themselves if they support the Syrian people or Assad’s rule.”
Clinton noted that the efforts to achieve a consensus in the Security Council for the Arab League’s proposal on Syria are still underway. Russia has expressed its opposition to a regime change in Damascus or military intervention in Syria.
