Education Minister Gideon Saar spoke at a groundbreaking ceremony in Har Bracha for new housing units Wednesday. He told the crowd that there was “Jewish right to the land,” and decried any attempt to uproot Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. Saar further stated that the Disengagement from Gaza in 2005 “did not improve or elevate Israel’s status, nor did it help achieve peace and security.”
Har Bracha was reestablished in 1983 and as of 2008 had a population of approximately 1,300 residents.
