MK Amnon Cohen (Shas), chairman of the joint committee for reforms in the Planning and Building Law, presented on Tuesday a proposal to implement a reform in affordable housing.

Cohen’s plan consists of five principles: a) Affordable housing as a public purpose in any housing plan; b) Responding to populations of different types; c) Creating an inventory of affordable housing; d) Keeping an inventory of apartments for affordable housing over time; and e) Making affordable housing  a dynamic concept.
