Motive Behind Murder of Israeli Arab Christian Leader

Police announced on Tuesday that the motive behind the murder of 61-year-old Gabriel Cadis was a dispute over ownership of a 10 million NIS building. Talal Abu Maneh and two other suspects are accused of orchestrating the stabbing attack that killed Cardis, who was the chairman of the Association of Orthodox Christians in Jaffa, Israel. The accused killer dressed up as Santa Claus and attacked Cardis at a Christmas parade in the coastal city of Jaffa. Over a thousand mourners attended Cardis's funeral in early January.
