Tel Aviv-Yafo Beaches Closed due to Pollution

The Interior Ministry announced, Tuesday morning, that beaches in Tel Aviv-Yafo were closed to bathing until further notice due to pollution from waste dumping. Beaches in Herzliya, to the north, were opened to bathing after they had been closed due to pollution caused by the flow of waste from the Dan region's Igudan wastewater treatment plant.

The government's weather service notes there is a high-wave warning along the Mediterranean coast.
