The Jerusalem District Court acquitted Rafi Said Sarhan,a resident of the eastern-Jerusalem neighborhood of Shiloach (Silwan in Arabic) on charges of throwing stones at a vehicle traveling to the Western Wall of the Temple and accidentally entered the disputed Jewish-Arab neighborhood.

In its verdict, the judge ruled "Although there is no dispute about the event occurring and the injury suffered by the complainants from the stone-throwing in Silwan, there was no proof of the defendant's presence and active participation in the events."
