Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange posted modest losses in mixed trading at the opening of Tuesday's session. The TA composite stood at 1,002.57, down .33 percent from Sunday's close, while the TA 100 declined .34 percent to 1,011.70, including a .48 percent drop to 1,115.45 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues. The 50 stocks outside the TA 100 rose .06 percent to 360.89.
The insurance index stood at 1,047.41, up .59 percent as the financial institutions fell .33 percent to 919.58, including a quarter percentage drop by the bank stocks to 1,007.85. The biomed index stood at 760.89, up .43 percent, while the rest of the technology issues rose .16 percent to 288.89. The oil and natural gas stocks declined .15 percent to 1,283.74, while the real estate index fell .18 percent to 279.22 and the communication issues stood at 676.85, down .53 percent.
