U.S. to Cut Defense Budget

The Pentagon on Thursday revealed plans to cut $487 billion in the U.S. defense budget over ten years.

As a result of the cuts, thousands of jobs will be lost, military advancements will be slowed down and the number of acquisitions will be reduced in order to cut defense expenditures.

One of the projects affected by the cut is the purchase of the F-35 fighter jets from Lockheed Martin.
