New Charges Against Aryeh Deri?

The Jerusalem municipality is forming a draft of an indictment on old and new construction violations against former Shas party chairman Aryeh Deri, according to a Tuesday report by Yisrael Hayom. The newspaper says the charges relate to renovations at his home in Jerusalem's Har Nof neighborhood.

Deri is reportedly going to move from Har Nof to Giv'at Shaul, which has been interpreted by some to indicate a completion of Deri cutting ties with Shas, ahead of his return to electoral politics after serving time on a corruption conviction. An attorney for his family says the family has followed the rules and , while admitting deviation from some of the building plans, the attorney said he had not been shown a draft of any potential charges.
